Jamesie

The fur I used to create this very earthy boy bear could be the most dense German mohair I've ever worked with.  The rich moss green color has light guard hairs all over, adding special interest to Jamesie's appeal.  His round chubby shape is perfect for this type of fur and he is a delight to anyone who loves to hug and cuddle their bears.  You will see Jamesie has the perfect styling and special touches that all come together to make a purely endearing teddy bear.
Jamesie's eye rims have painted highlights to bring out the most in his handsome expression.  Hand painting adds a warm highlight to his muzzle and his hand-stitched nose has a lovely warm shine thanks to a light wax polish.  Because he has such rich dark fur, I've lightened his photos a bit in order for you to see the details in his face.
This is a face to delight the teddy lover in all of us.  He is as sweet a bear as anyone could wish for.  The studio lighting gave Jamesie a more yellow-green color than his true mossy green.
This photo allows you to see all the detail surrounding Jamesie's eyes.
With fur as luxurious as Jamesie's, I decided to keep him very simply adorned.  Beautiful large wooden beads add to his woodsy style and the warm dark brown color is a wonderful contrast to his green fur.  I was told this is an old horse training ring and the clacking sound of the beads aided in training.  It has leather and a buckle closure.  To soften his look I added a wide chocolate ribbon tied in a bow to be worn at the side of his head.
Jamesie is a huggable 17 inches in length.  He has curved limbs to aid in cuddling and is fully and securely jointed with discs, locknuts and bolts.  Filled with polyfill, Jamesie is nicely weighted with a pocket of bbs tucked in his fanny.
Airbrushing outlines Jamesie's Merino wool paw pads and brings out their cuddly shape.  They feature hand-stitched claws as well.
