"Alexandra"
Singer Featherweight 221

Alexandra is a Featherweight that was produced towards the end of the era of the black and gold sewing machines.  Singer changed the style of their decals to an art deco design in order to "modernize" their appearance.  Alexandra is an example of the art deco Featherweight.  She's seen a bit of service and some of her front decals are faded where her previous seamstress rested her hands.  However, she's as good a stitcher as they come and she will be of loyal service to her next owner for years to come.

Alexandria shows how the Ruffler can ruffle fabric and attach it during the same operation.
This is the Ruffler creating nice, even pleats.
Here, the Foot Hemmer makes a tiny hem while attaching lace at the same time, just like you see on a hankerchief.
The Multi-slotted Binder adding binding with ease.
The Edge Stitcher can made very close-to-the-edge seams, allowing for such projects as joining rows of lace.
You'll love how easy it is to make straight hems with the Adjustable Hemmer.
Shirring for bodices and sleeves can be accomplished with the Gatherer attachment.
Tiny hems are a breeze with the Foot Hemmer and you'll be creating your own napkins and tablecloths in no time.
The Edge Stitcher can aid in making French seams.
Alexandra sews like a champ.
