This is a unique and very interesting Featherweight. The serial number is a series that so far, no one has any information on. It's the only Singer I've owned that started with P, so I cannot date this sewing machine. It's in remarkable condition and has a few differences from the typical white Featherweight. All the extras come along with Bridget and she is going to make a great helper for a lucky seamstress.
Included with Bridget are the following:
• Original Accessory Box with Unique Design
• Original Owner's Manual
• Multiple Slotted Binder
• Gatherer
• Foot Hemmer
• Edge Stitcher
• Adjustable Hemmer
• Zipper Foot
• Tucker
• Small Screwdriver
• Large Screwdriver
• 5 Bobbins
• Case Key
• Original Bakelite Clamshell Foot Pedal
• Original Carrying Case
• Copy of the Singer Service Manual
• Copy of the Adjuster's Manual
• My own Tips and Hints and help whenever you need it. I'm just an email away.
In the interest of time, I did not demonstrate all the attachments on this Featherweight. However, I guarantee they all work perfectly.
The throat plate is stamped with seam allowance marks making it nice and easy.
Bridget has her original Singer sewing motor and it runs lightning fast! This is a gear driven sewing machine and as such, is a very quick running stitcher.
It's easy to see the lovely paint in this photo. There is so little evidence of wear in the way of pin scratches or chips, that I think this sewing machine has spent most of her days tucked inside her case.
The face plates on the later Featherweights were painted to match the machines and they have an attractive and modern art deco design to them. Note the light is working perfectly.
She can gather a ruffle and attach it at the same time!
Bridget has the very first locking case I've seen on a white or barely celery Singer 221. This is another one of the unique differences I found in this interesting Featherweight.
Another difference I found in Bridget is her Clamshell foot pedal. This is the first I've seen this on a Featherweight. It's very convenient to use and the larger size makes it easy to use.
As the bottom of this sewing machine is painted to match the top, it's hard to get the serial number to photograph. You can see just how clean and like-new Bridget is.
Her case is strong and in good condition. It shows a bit more wear than you would expect with a Featherweight as gorgeous as Bridget is, but it is perfectly fine and will still do a wonderful job protecting Bridget.

There is a brand new leather "V" belt and all the adjustments and fine-tuning has been done on Bridget. She's been cleaned and serviced and polished and is all ready to go to work for her next owner. The little black dots showing in the photo are just lint from the new belt and are not paint chips.
Most of her photos don't show the Barely Celery tint to her white paint, but the next photo will give you an idea of just how nice Bridget really is.
