~ Singer Featherweight 221 Number AM774722 ~
September 1957
Right before the pastel Featherweights replaced the black ones, Singer changed the style of the decals to a more contemporary Art Deco design. Called the Prism style, this design was to appeal to the "modern" woman. This machine has a lovely shine to the paint. The decals do have wear and rubs and there are light pin scratches and a few little nicks, attesting to the fact that someone used and loved this Featherweight. It sews beautifully and purrs like a kitten and will do a wonderful job for some lucky seamstess. I certainly enjoyed creating on this sewing machine.
