A big sister to the Featherweight, the Singer 301 is equally sought after by quilters who demand the best. This totally gear driven sewing machine can handle just about anything a seamstress can ask of her. Louisa has the optional long-bed, especially favored by quilters who work with larger projects. Her cosmetics are almost perfect and she's seen very little service, leaving all her energy and strength for her next seamstress.

Louisa features a stamped throat plate which will facilitate nice even stitches.
Louisa's tensioner has been carefully adjusted and the numbers are also nice and bright on this part. She comes fully serviced and adjusted and will be all ready for you to unpack and start your first project.
A little heavier than her sister the Featherweight, Louisa makes up for it by having a handy carrying handle.
The stitch regulator has nice big and easy-to-see numbers. The graphics are still strong and bright with no fading or smudging.
Note how nice Louisa's Mocha paint still shines. You can see the palm trees in the reflection.
It's easy to see why the 301 is called a Slant Sewing Machine. The backwards rake of the head is quite obvious in the side view. It's such a wonderfully Art Deco design.
Here is a photo of Louisa stitching several layers of leather beautifully! I also guarantee that all the attachments will perform just as beautifully.
Several small marks in the fold down bed keep Louisa from being absolutely perfect. Such minor little spots don't detract from her beauty and still allow her to qualify as a pristine vintage sewing machine.
The bottom cover is as shiny as the day it left the factory.
The design of the Singer is wonderful with the motor being tucked underneath the body of the sewing machine. Everything is nicely contained inside.

The original Bakelite foot pedal is in remarkable condition.
The original case is included. It shows a few bumps here and there where it did its job protecting Louisa, but it's strong and sturdy with good clasps and hinges.
