" Millie "
~ Singer Featherweight 221 Number AH663466 ~
Anniversary Edition
June 18, 1948
Where do I start with this one?! Millie is my current favorite for several reasons. A rare and very early Centennial Featherweight, Singer started putting the Blue and Gold Anniversary badge as early as 1948, although their centennial didn't begin until 1952. Millie is one of those early Centennials. A gorgeous lady, Millie performed some very special chores for me. Apart from creating every bear now showing in my Gallery, this Featherweight also created my new market umbrellas and cushions for my outdoor furniture. She glided through outdoor canvas like butter and never missed a beat. Her paint and decals are simply gorgeous and she is certainly a Featherweight to be proud to own.
Be sure and see all the photos and descriptions for Millie as this Featherweight comes loaded with tons of accessories and extras. You don't want to miss anything!

Minor scuffs and pin marks show with only a few typical rubs here and there.
For some reason, it was very common for the paint on these accessories to be very fragile. Time causes them to flake and peel, but it doesn't affect the performance.
Outdoor canvas was no problem for this wonderful Featherweight. I hope she finds an owner who will continue to use her for the purpose she was intended!
Original Type 3 case with good strong latches. A few scuffs here and there attest to the fact that its done its job protecting the Featherweight.
The bears pictured below are just a few that were made with this Featherweight.
